“QFRS attended and police closed the road due to safety concerns,” Sgt Blain said.
A Department of Community Safety spokesperson said QFRS sent seven fire crews to the site.
“They had no structures under threat but completed backburning overnight to contain the fire within containment lines,” the spokesperson said.
Fire crews were on site until at least 11pm on Sunday and they returned the next morn- ing to ensure the area was completely safe.
Sgt Blain said police were investigating whether or not the fire was deliberately lit.
