Water park to make a splash in Proserpine
AUSTRALIA’s first portable water theme park Waterworld will be making a splash in Proserpine on two consecutive weekends this month.
The park will debut at the Proserpine Showground this coming weekend from October 18-20, with a repeat visit planned for October 25-27.
Opening at 10am daily, Waterworld offers giant inflatable pools and slides to splash and play around in.
Ticket holders can try fun activities like skirting the giant twin slides of the dragon pool or slipping through the shark’s mouth on the Waterworld shark pool. The more daring visitors can plummet 10metres down the colossal dino slide and if that isn’t enough fun, there’s a chance to try walking on water in the Waterworld zorb balls.
Alternatively, children under 12 can simply splash around and relax in the mushroom pool.
Other attractions include sideshow games, a solar cafe and ice creams.
Entry to the park is free and there are two options to purchase tickets, either pay as you ride or unlimited rider three-hour session wristbands.
Pay as you go tickets cost $5 per 10 minutes.
The unlimited rider wristbands cost $20 per session if purchased at the gate, or $15 if bought online. Session times are 10am-1pm, 11am-2pm, 12-3pm and 1-4pm. Ticket holders are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to their session times. While customers have the option of saving money by buying discounted tickets online, these must be bought at least one day prior to attending Waterworld. Those who have pre-purchased tickets can call 0409 912 343 to check whether the park is still operational in the event of bad weather. For more information visit www.waterworldcentral.com.au.
