Trouble in court
A 35-YEAR-OLD Jubilee Pocket man was charged with wilful damage and obstructing police after an incident in the Proserpine Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, October 16. Police were called to restrain the man after he damaged a lectern during a court hearing in which he was representing himself. The man allegedly threw the lectern after becoming agitated during the trial. He was in custody in relation to other matters and was later charged with the offences arising from this incident.
