Lions support nursing home
A DONATION of $9700 was presented to the Proserpine Nursing Home by the Whitsunday Lions this week.
Whitsunday Lions Club members Betty Wilson and Lynda Baxter presented a cheque to the nursing home's co-ordinator Joy Forster at the residents meeting on Monday.
The donation was to replace the home’s pan disinfector, which is a critical piece of equipment.
The equipment recently failed and the Lions were able to step in and help out in a big way.
As a regular donor to the nursing home, the Whitsunday Lions Club was happy to help with the home’s urgent need. The Whitsunday Lions Club is a part of Lions Clubs International, a network of volunteers who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities.
