Whitsunday Times - - COMMUNITY NEWS -

WHITSUNDAY residents are invited to the Proserpine and Airlie Beach branches of the Commonwealth Bank on Friday, October 25, for a special morning tea.

Both branches are hosting a pink morning tea from 9.30am to raise awareness and support for National Breast Cancer Awareness month and the Breast Cancer Institute of Australia (BCIA).

Branch staff will be asking customers for a gold coin donation in return for some edible goodies. Branch manager of both the Airlie Beach and Proserpine branches, Theresa Huttley-Haines, said funds raised through these pink morning teas would help to support the BCIA’s ongoing research into the treatment, prevention and cure of breast cancer.

The 2014 Australian Women’s Health Diary is available now for $14.95 from Commonwealth Bank branches across the country.
