Girls Night In a hit with Proser­pine youth

THE Proser­pine Youth Space put on a great night of girly fun for their Can­cer Coun­cil Girls Night In fundraiser on Fri­day.

About 20 youths and some of their par­ents headed along to the event which served to raise funds and aware­ness for all fe­male can­cers.

The team at Whit­sun­day Hair Stu­dio do­nated their time to do the nails and hair of all the girls and they also played a num­ber of dif­fer­ent games be­fore set­tling in to watch a movie.

Youth Space as­sis­tant co­or­di­na­tor Alanna Sch­nei­der said they were re­ally pleased with the turnout for the event and thanked all the lo­cal busi­ness- es for do­nat­ing food and prizes for the games.

“We were re­ally happy with how it all went, ev­ery­one had a great time and the sup­port we re­ceived from Faust’s IGA, Woolworths, Lead­ing Edge Video and the Fam­ily Phar­macy was greatly ap­pre­ci­ated,” she said.
