Triple win for Airlie Day Spa and Hair Studio
AIRLIE Day Spa and Hair Studio tasted victory on Saturday night at the Whitsunday Tourism Awards, taking out three awards in Specialised Tourism Services, Health and Wellbeing Tourism and Smile Whitsundays Customer Service.
This is the second year running that the business has taken out awards in the Health and Wellbeing Tourism and Specialised Tourism Services category, with owners Julie Cauchi and Ian Stone, who were unable to attend on the night, believing their success is a result of their talented, hardworking staff.
“It is our staff that makes our business so successful and they are so important to us,” Mr Stone said.
“We also value our constant feedback from our clients which we use to improve our products and services every year.”
Mr Stone believes it is the invaluable feedback of customers which have enabled the business to take out the Smile Whitsunday Customer Service award.
“This year we have a new range of products and treat- ments which will be released before Christmas which we are really excited about,” he said.
“We were also very proud to win the Specialised Tourism Services award because it symbolises our close relationship with other local businesses and we want to thank them for their ongoing support.”
Airlie Day Spa and Hair Studio was established in 2006 by Ms Cauchi, out of the realisation that “our clients want more than a standard beauty treatment”.
The business prides itself on offering a unique and personalised experience that stimulates every sense and soothes every frazzled nerve with a wide range of spa treatments, waxing, beauty therapies, makeup, massages, wraps, scrubs, water therapies and quality hair studio.
Beauty therapist Brianna Booth said Airlie Day Spa was a great business.
“It has a positive atmosphere that encouraged all staff and provided opportunites for professional development,” she said.
TRIPLE WIN: Airlie Day Spa and Hair Studio staff Hanna Palmer, Emily Murgatroyd, Brianna Booth, Hannah Denham with co-owner Ian Stone who were delighted at the news the business had won three awards at the Whitsunday Tourism Awards on Saturday night.
