ARCHERY

There is a new sport in town with archery being offered on Sunday mornings at the PCYC .

The PCYC was lucky enough to receive archery equipment, bows and arrows from the Lindeman Island refurbishment.

Tim Marshall from the PCYC and one of the archery instructors had been waiting on the arrival of new targets to begin archery this term after receiving an overwhelming number of expressions of interest for this activity.

Anyone is able to come along and pick up a bow and have a go.

As 8-year-old Elliot Staton proved sometimes you just need luck.

Elliot is the youngest member and won this week’s sharp shooter contest, shooting closest to the bullseye.

Archery is open to both boys and girls from eight years to adult and runs Sunday mornings 9-10am. Anyone wishing to get involved should contact tim.marshall@pcyc.org.au for more information.
