Car­dio ten­nis draws good crowd in Can­non­vale

WHIT­SUN­DAY TEN­NIS

SE­NIOR so­cial ten­nis and car­dio ten­nis dom­i­nated the courts this week.

Tues­day and Satur­day af­ter­noon ten­nis are also go­ing from strength to strength.

Th­ese ma­ture young peo­ple play with touch and tac­tics of­ten leav­ing their younger op­po­nents chas­ing the ball all over the court.

Tues­day and Thurs­day evening played non-stop ten­nis with Norm Hold, Rick Galea and Keith Miles in top form.

In car­dio ten­nis news all ses­sions were well at­tended.

Fri­day car­dio was a hot ses­sion weather wise and on court but this did not stop those at­tend­ing from giv­ing it their all. Aaron Steven­son was par­tic­u­larly im­pres­sive. In ju­nior news Trent Mur­ray is­sued a chal­lenge to his coach Jamie Kirk­man for a game of sin­gles.

The chal­lenge was ac­cepted and they played a great match. Coach­ing pupil of the week was Jes­sica Ren­ton. So­cial ten­nis is avail­able on Tues­day and Satur­day af­ter­noon from 1.30pm and Tues­day and Thurs­day evening from 7pm start. Car­dio ten­nis is on Tues­day, Thurs­day and Fri­day.
