There’s a beautiful inventiveness to the animation as the animators bring all manner of food stuffs from watermelle- phants to tacodile supreme to life.
Despite the gleeful absurdity of the plot and cartoonish visual gags, there are a number of relatable character moments.
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 is clever and energetic and funny.
