For­mer res­i­dent mar­rries on the Sun­shine Coast

FOR­MER Whit­sun­day res­i­dent Danielle Collins mar­ried the man of her dreams, Rory Dow­dall on Satur­day, Novem­ber 24.

The wed­ding was held at Maleny at a stun­ning lo­ca­tion in the moun­tains of the Sun­shine Coast with a cap­ti­vat­ing yet con­ser­va­tive old-fash­ioned theme.

About 70 peo­ple at­tended the event with guests trav­el­ling from as far as Sin­ga­pore to share the happy cou­ple’s spe­cial day.

Danielle’s fa­ther, Kevin Collins is a long term Air­lie Beach busi­ness­man and a cur­rent Whit­sun­day Re­gional Coun­cil­lor.

He said walk­ing

his daugh­ter down the aisle was the most spe­cial thing a fa­ther could do.

Danielle lived in the Whit­sun­days for 17 years and at­tended Can­non­vale State School be­fore go­ing on to grad­u­ate from Proser­pine State High School in 2006.

The 24-year-old then re­lo­cated to Bris­bane and is cur­rently in her fifth year of medicine at the Univer­sity of Queens­land.

Her hus­band Rory is a bio­med­i­cal sci­ence grad­u­ate.

The cou­ple are hon­ey­moon­ing in Sin­ga­pore and the Mal­dives.
