WHITSUNDAY TENNIS

AFTER drying off the courts, junior tennis went on without a hitch on Monday.

Fantastic forehands were hit by Rohan Kangru, Matthew and Cameron Brown and Nick Cullen.

Social tennis on Tuesday afternoon and evening was extremely hot as players got a great workout in.

Thursday evening welcomed some new faces and regulars Tad and Anna Nowicki and Norm Hold also impressed in a very entertaining set of doubles.

There was a massive turnout of players on Saturday, and while the ladies may have been outnumbered by the men, it was the girls showing form.

Ladies on court were Merle Foot, Kay Hoare, Trish Rouse, Rae Miller and Jo Wright.

Cardio tennis players on Tuesday morning, Thursday evening and Friday morning kept up a cracking pace.

Coaching pupils of the week were the hardy young guys Matthew Henning, Trent Murray and Darcy Larkin who played an exciting game of mini doubles during squad on Wednesday evening.
