Woman airlifted after buggy crash
A 23-YEAR-OLD woman was airlifted to Mackay Base Hospital with a serious shoulder injury following a crash in a golf buggy on Hamilton Island.
The NSW woman was a passenger on the golf buggy when its brakes failed and the buggy rolled on Tuesday morning.
Police said the buggy skidded for about seven metres before rolling.
The driver was thrown off and the woman became trapped.
She suffered serious lacerations to her right shoulder and was reported to be in a stable condition.
The male driver of the buggy also suffered minor shoulder bruising.
