YOUTH Space in Proserpine have announced that with hard work and support from local community groups and businesses, they will be able to start a Friday evening program in January 2014.

This will be of great benefit to local young people, offering another local evening activity in an otherwise quiet town for youth.

Proserpine Youth Space co-ordinator Rachel Geddes said they aimed to offer activities on Friday evenings, ensuring maximum options for young people throughout each month.

“Further support and sponsorship is still required to ensure continuation of the program throughout the year,” she said.

“If you know of a local company, business or group who may be able to offer a service, volunteers or financial sponsorship please let us know as we would love to see this program really take off during 2014.”
