Lo­cal rider to com­pete in Troy Bayliss Clas­sic

WHIT­SUN­DAY dirt rider Ge­or­gia Mur­ray re­cently trav­elled to Ta­ree in New South Wales to have a prac­tice run for the Troy Bayliss Clas­sic.

She was in­vited to race in the spe­cial event which will take place on Jan­uary 18, 2014 at Old Bar.

Bor­row­ing a bike to test out the oiled track for the first time, Ge­or­gia made the most of the trial run ex­pe­ri­ence and also en­joyed meet­ing Troy Bayliss.

Ge­or­gia will be rac­ing against Meghan Rut­ledge who holds three Aus­tralian ju­nior motocross ti­tles and two Aus­tralian se­nior motocross cham­pi­onships as well as Macken­zie Tricker who has re­turned from the United States af­ter com­pet- ing at the Amer­i­can Motocross and X Games.

Jess Shep­herd who is cur­rently Queens­land num­ber one rider on dirt track and Tay­lor Jones, who is a top En­duro rider will also be part of the epic women’s line-up in Jan­uary.

Af­ter pro­duc­ing some ex­cel­lent lap times, Ge­or­gia is ex­cited about her prospects next year.

She tested out her new KX450F at the Whit­sun­day Moto Sports Club prac­tice and awards day at Whit­sun­day Race­way on the week­end.

Geogia will be rep­re­sent­ing the Whit­sun­days at the North Bris­bane Cup this Satur­day.
