A WOMAN who was more than three times the legal limit was charged after a two-vehicle crash at the roundabout on Seaview Drive in Airlie Beach on Saturday morning.
Officer in Charge of the Whitsunday Station Acting Senior Sergeant Barry Haran said two vehicles had collided at the intersection.
He said the first vehicle careered through the intersection taking out a power box and a shed at the rear of the X Base Backpackers.
The female driver left the scene but was later charged with dangerous driving, failing to remain at the scene and drink-driving, after returning a reading of 0.166 per cent. She received minor injuries as a result of the crash.
