40 years of love

Whitsunday Times - - MOTORING -

CANNONVALE couple Bruce and Pam Casey were married on May 23, 1970 and have been residents of the Whitsundays since 2001.

With so many Valentine’s Day experiences to choose from, it was hard for them to chose one year that really stood out. “One year in the 1970s we spent Valentine’s Day in Tahiti, so that was a very special one,” Mrs Casey said.

“We were away on our annual holiday and we stayed at Club Med. It was absolutely brilliant.” Over the years the duo have toned down their celebrations for the annual lovers’ holiday and Mr Casey said it was more about spending quality time with one another.

“We’ve been together for such a long time now that we don’t really make a big deal about it anymore. We know we are in love and we show that everyday,” he said.

“Usually we will just spend Valentine’s Day together at home and share dinner and a few drinks or head out somewhere nice for a meal.”

HAPPY COUPLE: Bruce and Pam Casey have been married for 44 years and have lived in the Whitsundays since 2001.
