Morning melodies with Jackie Love
EXUBERANT, sensational, charismatic and an exceptional stage talent.
These are just some of the words audiences have used to describe actress, recording artist, producer, comedian, host and entertainer Jackie Love.
Jackie will be performing at the Proserpine Entertainment Centre today (Thursday, February 20) with her new show The Look of Love.
The show includes a medley of songs from classics such as Phantom of the Opera, South Pacific and Cabaret to name a few.
Her rendition of Cole Porter, Gershwin, Burt Bacharach and Sammy Davis Junior hits is sure to take fans on an exciting and memorable musical journey.
Jackie’s illustrious career began when she moved from her native Perth to Sydney in the early 1980’s. Within the year she appeared on the Logie Awards and the late Sammy Davis Junior chose her as a guest artist for his Australian national tour.
This was so successful that Davis subsequently invited her to appear as his “special guest star” in the United States.
“She’s destined to be a very big star I feel,” he said.
Since then, Jackie has per- formed at concerts in the UK, USA, French Riviera, Monte Carlo, Fiji, Bali and more.
Her accolades include royal command performances for Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and Sweden’s King and Queen Gustav.
After appearing on TV specials in Germany, Spain, the UK and Singapore, Jackie’s love for the theatre became her next challenge.
She surprised audiences and critics alike with her flare for comedy, for which she received critical acclaim.
