Grafitti concern

Whitsunday Times - - WHITSUNDAY NEWS AND VIEWS -

IT IS no surprise the great $1million dollar wall at Waterson Way roundabout has graffiti.

It was obvious to most of the residents that a unprepared wall was ideal for someone to hit with graffiti. I am willing to bet that the wall had no anti-graffiti coating.

Anti-graffiti coating is not a new product, it has been around for long time.

In a nutshell, it makes graffiti paint easy to remove. I just hope the Council will make a liar out of me. Please tell me either the designer, the contractor, or the shire supervisor had the common sense to apply the coating – making this graffiti easy to remove. If not, the rate payers are up for continuous scrubbing and painting worth thousands of dollars over future years. Steve Halter AIRLIE BEACH
