In­ter­na­tional health speaker com­ing to Air­lie

CANCER ex­pert and health re­searcher Chris Wool­lams is cur­rently on a na­tional tour of Aus­tralia and will be speak­ing at the Reef Gate­way Ho­tel next Wed­nes­day, March 12.

Event or­gan­iser Lee Hawkins said it was a great op­por­tu­nity to lis­ten to an un­bi­ased ex­pert with a back­ground in bio­chem­istry and learn the sci­en­tific se­crets to good health and beat­ing cancer.

In 2001, Mr Wool­lams' daugh­ter Cather­ine Wool­lams (then aged 22) was di­ag­nosed with a grade four ma­lig­nant brain tu­mour and given six months to live.

As a re­sult, Mr Wool­lams has ded­i­cated his life to try­ing to save hers and in do­ing so has cre­ated a new life for him­self.

He is cur­rently the edi­tor of a Bri­tish cancer mag­a­zine In­te­gra­tive Cancer On­col­ogy News and is a best­selling au­thor, re­searcher and founder of in­te­gra­tive char­ity CANCERac­tive.

Mr Wool­lams plans to sep­a­rate the sci­ence from the hype and in­form au­di­ences how to con­trol their own health and beat chronic ill­ness.

The talk will fo­cus on four of his new edi­tion books that were re­leased in Aus­tralia this year in­clud­ing The Rain­bow Diet, Ev­ery­thing You Need to Know to Beat Cancer, Oe­stro­gen: The killer in our midst and The Se­cret Source of Your Good Health.

The talk is open to all mem­bers of the com­mu­nity and is de­signed to help people make smart, proac­tive choices about their health.

Doors open at 7pm and tick­ets cost $10 per per­son.
