International health speaker coming to Airlie
CANCER expert and health researcher Chris Woollams is currently on a national tour of Australia and will be speaking at the Reef Gateway Hotel next Wednesday, March 12.
Event organiser Lee Hawkins said it was a great opportunity to listen to an unbiased expert with a background in biochemistry and learn the scientific secrets to good health and beating cancer.
In 2001, Mr Woollams' daughter Catherine Woollams (then aged 22) was diagnosed with a grade four malignant brain tumour and given six months to live.
As a result, Mr Woollams has dedicated his life to trying to save hers and in doing so has created a new life for himself.
He is currently the editor of a British cancer magazine Integrative Cancer Oncology News and is a bestselling author, researcher and founder of integrative charity CANCERactive.
Mr Woollams plans to separate the science from the hype and inform audiences how to control their own health and beat chronic illness.
The talk will focus on four of his new edition books that were released in Australia this year including The Rainbow Diet, Everything You Need to Know to Beat Cancer, Oestrogen: The killer in our midst and The Secret Source of Your Good Health.
The talk is open to all members of the community and is designed to help people make smart, proactive choices about their health.
Doors open at 7pm and tickets cost $10 per person.
Limited tickets are available and must be purchased online via www.proactivehealth.net.au.
