BMX Club to welcome new riders

Whitsunday Times - - SPORT -

RIDERS of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to try out the sport of BMX at the Proserpine BMX Club’s come and try day this Sunday.

A come and try day was scheduled for Sunday, February 23 but had to be postponed due to the wet weather.

All are welcome to attend the event this Sunday, which will be held at the club’s track behind Les Stagg Oval from 10am to 2pm.

Those interested in participating need to bring a long shirt, long pants, enclosed shoes, gloves, full face helmet and their bike.

Anyone who doesn’t have any of these items should be able to borrow some gear for the day from club members.

BMX is an exhilarating sport for both boys and girls and Sunday’s come and try day is the perfect opportunity for newcomers to try out the sport.

The club has BMX riders of all ages and would love to see more fresh faces join their ranks for the 2014 season.

For more information about the club, contact Julie Dries on 0408 186 122 or club president Terry Chauntler on 0418 788 643.
