What a disgrace

Whitsunday Times - - WHITSUNDAY NEWS AND VIEWS -

I WAS appalled and disgusted to read and hear about the aggresive behavior of a group of people at last week’s council meeting in Bowen.

That sort of action would not even be seen and tolerated in a school playground.

One must assume that there are many people in the Bowen/Collinsville area who, along with me, appreciate the fine work and achievements of the present Council as they have worked through the difficulties on first gaining office.

Unfortunately, those people will not be able to be heard in the current environment.

If the group of people responsible for the outbreak continues, then serious action will be necessary.

I have it on impeccable authority that it would cost approximately $300 per head for Whitsunday Residents to cover the de-amalgamation of the Regional Council.

Perhaps this suggestion is now the path we have to pursue. Lester Riley AIRLIE BEACH
