Graphic design comp to inspire our local youth
WHITSUNDAY Regional Council has announced a youth art competition, with participants aged 10-18 asked to design a mini brochure on youth services.
Mayor Jennifer Whitney said the competition was an initiative of Council’s Whitsunday Youth Committee, Y Factor, with the mini brochures, proudly sponsored by Subway Proserpine and Bowen, to be created by young people for young people and containing important contact numbers for local youth services.
“The competition is a great opportunity for young people to showcase their talents and be part of an important resource that will be available to youth,” she said. “Council is pleased to initiate an activity that fosters the talents of our local youth and we look forward to seeing some great entries submitted.”
Competition details and entry forms can be downloaded from Council’s website, Facebook page or collected from the Bowen or Proserpine customer service centres.
First prize is a Tablet and entries close on April 11, 2014.
