More rain on the way

Whitsunday Times - - LOCAL NEWS -

Ex-TROPICAL Cyclone Hadi is refusing to completely die and instead of fizzling out in the Coral Sea its remains are actually drifting back to the Queensland coast.

Media liaison officer for the Bureau of Meteorology, Ken Kato, said Hadi was not expected to re-form into tropical cyclone strength but would remain “more like a monsoon low” as it made its way west to the tip of Cape York.

While at this stage the Whitsudays is not likely to suffer from any serious impacts, Mr Kato said the region would start to see an increase in showers and rain from today.
