Phone survey to form future plan
WHITSUNDAY Regional Council will be conducting a phone survey over the next couple of weeks to ask local residents about their visions for the future of the region.
Mayor Jennifer Whitney said the phone survey of 300 residents in the Whitsunday region was part of the development of Council’s 2020 corporate plan.
The ten-minute phone survey will ask a number of questions about what residents consider to be priorities for Council, what additional services Council should provide and whether Council should consider selling assets to help pay down debt.
Community forums to discuss Council’s 2020 corporate plan will also be held in the region’s four townships over the coming weeks.
