Original music at KC’s

Whitsunday Times - - CHILL -

IRISH-born musician John Lillis will be taking to the stage at KC’s in Airlie Beach tonight, tomorrow and on March 24 and 25.

Having played guitar from the tender age of six, Lillis developed a career as a songwriter and folk musician – a path that took him on a journey from Galway in Ireland, to Salford in the UK, to Melbourne in Australia and finally to Airlie Beach.

Like most song writers, he says his songs are “all stories from incidents and observations during my years playing and living around the world”.

Describing himself as a blues-driven rhythmic musician, Lillis said he was looking forward to playing at KC’s.

He said it was good to have the chance to showcase more of his songs in a venue that supported local songwriters.
