Marine electronics to improve safety at sea
TO IMPROVE the safety of your loved ones at sea, check out the latest technology, products and information now available at Twenty16 Communications.
The marine electronics business offers a professional service for the sale and distribution of quality brands and has the skill to install, service and satisfy your electronic and communication needs on the water.
Twenty16 Communications is the brainchild of owners Laz Reynolds and Garry Petot who opened the doors to their business at the Hawkes Boatyard of Abell Point Marina last Friday.
Mr Reynolds, who was born and raised in the Whitsundays, jumped at the opportunity to bring his family back to his hometown and open a business to better serve the region.
Both men have served in the Australian Defence Force and have backgrounds in the communications industry.
Mr Reynolds worked as an avionics technician in the Royal Australian Navy for 20 years while Mr Petot, who was an infantry officer in the Australian Army for 10 years, built a pathway into IT and communications while posted in Cabarlah.
The pair crossed paths in 2009 when they were both employed at a leading communications company in Rockhampton.
“Due to our military background in communications, we had very similar understanding of how we would like to run a business and thought we could offer a point of difference to Airlie Beach,” Mr Reynolds said.
Both men pride themselves on offering a high level of customer service with quality workmanship that is backed by leading brands and a full service warrantee.
“We offer a 12 month warranty on our workmanship and are happy to offer our services out of hours by appointment,” Mr Petot said.
Twenty16 Communications is a Raymarine distributor and service agent and are accredited to undertake an ‘on-board’ warranty on all approved installations.
The business also stocks the latest range of autopilots, fish finders, GPS, instrument displays, marine audio, cameras, radios and radars, satellite, software and thermal imaging products.
