Business as usual at new location for Marinos

Whitsunday Times - - WHITSUNDAY BUSINESS -

IT IS business as usual for staff of Marino’s Deli who are happy to be operating out of the deli’s temporary location next door to Coles at the Whitsunday Shopping Centre.

Marino’s Deli was gutted after a fire broke out shortly before midnight of Thursday, March 7, and business owners Marino and Yvonne Roberto were determined to turn the devastating news into a positive step forward.

Mrs Roberto said they were approached by Whitsunday Shopping Centre management who offered for Marino’s to resume business temporarily out of the empty cafe next to Coles until their previous location, next to Buck’s Seafood, could be restored.

“The ongoing support of the Whitsunday community has been fantastic and we are very happy to be fully operational again,” she said.

“We are now waiting for our previous location to be restructured before we can move in and begin refurbishments.”

Mrs Roberto said the long term plan was to move back to their original location as soon as possible.

OPEN FOR BUSINESS: Marino's Deli owner Yvonne Roberto with deli assistants Linda Davis and Carmen Pannan are serving the community from their temporary location next door to Coles at the Whitsunday Shopping Centre.
