Rotary recognises 19 staff for having pride in their work
THE Rotary Club of Airlie Beach presented Pride of Workmanship awards to 19 local employees on Monday night.
“Pride of Workmanship” is a Rotary program which enables managers to help employees achieve the goal of job satisfaction and publicly recognize them for their efforts.
Participating businesses promote the Pride of Workmanship theme of "Do it once - Do it well".
The MC on the night was Rotarian Bob Bogie who congratulated all award winners. The awards are presented annually by Rotary Clubs throughout Australia.
The program was started by the Rotary Club of Pennant Hills in NSW in 1975.
Employers nominate employees worthy of recognition not only within their organisation but the wider community.
The nominees on Monday night were each presented with a trophy in recognition of their achievement.
