Local kids see out term with Easter hat parade

Whitsunday Times - - 7 DAY TV GUIDE -

STUDENTS of the Whitsunday Christian College and Cannonvale State School hopped into the spirit of Easter last week with a funfilled hat parade to see out the school term.

All students from prep to year 7 were invited to showcase their homemade hat creations during the parade ahead of the school holidays.

Many students enlisted the help of their families to create their own, unique designs for the celebration.

There were many colourful creations decorated with bouncing bunny rabbits and baby chicks, Easter eggs of all shapes and sizes, enormous rabbit ears and delicious, wrapped chocolate treats.

Many teachers also embraced the Easter theme and came to school wearing their best homemade headwear which all the students admired.

The Easter school holidays started on Saturday and students are set to enjoy the break before school resumes for term 2 on Tuesday, April 22.
