Trevor Paroz cleans up at vets comp
A GOOD field of 28 veteran golfers played strong games in near perfect conditions at the Proserpine Golf Course on Tuesday.
Trevor Paroz had a clean sweep at the event taking out the win in both the 18-hole and 9-hole competition.
He came in first in the 18-hole comp with a score of 39, with Mandy Patterson coming in runner up on 38.
The ball rundown was Jim Dowell on 36, followed by Ron Little on 35, Barry Mortimer on 35, Tony Wooldridge also on 35 and Andrew McKay on 34.
Nearest-the-pins were Barry Mortimer for the men and Caroline Awdry for the ladies.
Paroz posted a score of 22 points to win the 9-hole competition, on countback from Mick Burrows also on 22.
In the ball rundown, Bill Jesser finished with a score of 21, ahead of Vic Feldman on 20, Allan Greedy on 19, Mandy Patterson on 19 and Jim Dowell, Andrew McKay and Les Jones all came in with a score of 18.
Nearest-the-pins for the men was Ron Little and for the ladies Mandy Patterson.
The veterans will be travelling to compete in Collinsville on Tuesday, April 15.
