Brahmans take on Moranbah next weekend
AFTER round 4 of the Mackay District Rugby League competition was rained out, the Proserpine Whitsunday Brahmans have now set their sights on the club’s next home game clash against the Moranbah Miners next Saturday.
A grade manager Bryce Fraser said round five would be an epic day of rugby league action with up to five teams taking to the field.
It’s rumoured the Brahmans over-35s Masters team will be playing an entertaining exhibition match that will be followed by a fiery clash between the women to the delight of spectators.
Games will kick off at around midday at Les Stagg Oval with the reserves being the curtain raiser to the Brahmans A grade hit out with Moranbah.
Fraser said the all teams would be out of action over the Easterlong weekend.
“The Easter break isn’t the best way to prepare because our games against Moranbah are always really tough but hopefully the boys will use the weekend to regroup and refresh,” he said.
“It’s unfortunate that we have missed two rounds of the competition already but that only makes the boys more eager to get back on the field for a good grudge match.”
All Brahmans teams will then be travelling to Mackay to take on Brothers on Sunday, May 4.
