Traf­fic of­fences

WHIT­SUN­DAY Po­lice is­sued 37 traf­fic in­fringe­ment notices and con­ducted 935 breath tests over the Easter break. Prior to that, just three drink driv­ers were caught be­tween April 16-18.

At 6.35pm on April 16, a 36-year-old Ju­bilee Pocket man blew 0.069 and at 4.36am on April 18, a 53-year-old lo­cal sailor was caught rid­ing a Honda mo­tor­cy­cle with a read­ing of 0.091. At 3am that day, po­lice in­ter­cepted a Holden Com­modore, driven by a 26-year-old Cannonvale man with a read­ing of 0.09. The man was also found to be driv­ing out­side his late night li­cence re­stric­tion.

Other traf­fic of­fend­ers in­cluded a 28-year-old Cannonvale man who was caught driv­ing with­out a li­cence at 6.45pm on April 15 and a 25-year-old Cannonvale woman, who at 7.50pm on April 16, was seen talk­ing on her mo­bile phone while driv­ing a Ford sta­tion wagon that was un­reg­is­tered and unin­sured.
