‘The Block’ stars visit Air­lie

STARS of the pop­u­lar tele­vi­sion show ‘The Block’ Brad and Lara Cran­field were in Air­lie Beach over the Easter long weekend, cre­at­ing a buzz amongst lo­cal fans of the show.

They were spotted at sev­eral places around Air­lie Beach in­clud­ing the la­goon and at sev­eral restaurants.

Cruise Whit­sun­days hosted the cou­ple on a trip to the Great Bar­rier Reef on Easter Sun­day and they did a fish­ing char­ter on Mon­day.

Cruise Whit­sun­days Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer Nick Hor­tle said it was a plea­sure to host the cou­ple.

“Our crew had a great time host­ing them on­board, they were lovely, gen­uine people who were happy to pose for pic­tures and share sto­ries with other guests,” Mr Hor­tle said.

“The crew even con­vinced Lara to do her first ever scuba dive which she loved,” he said.

“Not only was it nice to host mi­nor celebri­ties on board but they posted pic­tures from their en­tire Whit­sun­days trip on their Face­book page which has over 65,000 fans so it was great pub­lic­ity for the whole re­gion.”

The cou­ple were re­cently mar­ried and were en­joy­ing their first hol­i­day as a mar­ried cou­ple fol­low­ing Brad’s win of $509,250 which he shared with fel­low ren­o­vat­ing part­ner Dale Vine. The cou­ple also ap­peared on the 2012 se­ries of The Block win­ning $606,000.
