Escapade to bring melodic sound to Paddy’s

Whitsunday Times - - CHILL -

FANS of melodic music and the sounds of iconic bands such as Kaskade, Empire of the Sun and Goldfrapp will enjoy their fresh sounds of Escapade who are performing live this week at Paddy’s Shenanigans.

It was a combined vision and a plethora of instrumental ability that fused the dynamic duo of Kiki and Justin together over 10 years ago.

The band is the tale of a simple boy, a girl, guitars, synths, piano, noise, a studio, a common vision, an instrumental temptation and a lot a love.

As teenagers Kiki and Justin began to write, record, gig and produce tunes in their hometown of Adelaide and after a couple of overseas trips, a stack of gigs and some big supports, they decided to call their new sound Escapades.

Before fusing their talents together under the banner of Escapades, Kiki bounced onto the public music scene in late 2004 as a finalist in channel 7’s Popstars.

After having the extraordinary experience of playing an original song on live television and exiting the show due to the non commercial nature of her artistry, the opportunities continued to roll through the door.

Meanwhile, Justin has worked in the music industry as both a musician and live sound engineer and has had the pleasure to work with a huge range of artists, comedians, bands, outfits, and cliental for corporate functions.
