Plenty of fun at Regatta Waters
IT WAS all sunshine and smiles at the Regatta Waters lifestyle community fun day on Sunday.
About 200 people attended the event jam-packed with jumping castles, live music, quad bike rides, trampolines and a barbeque and beer tent.
Ray White Whitsunday project marketing agent Steve Marks said for him the day was about community engagement.
“It’s a beautiful estate here and the day was for people who are not just buying but the people in the community who wanted to come and have a look,” he said.
The fun day included a putting competition with over $165,000 cash and prizes up for grabs.
Local boy, nine-year-old Daniel Arriguetti won $5000 when putting on behalf of his parents Arlene and Al Arriguetti who have bought a block of land at Regatta Waters. Mr Marks said the day was well supported by the community.
“It was a great result. The best thing about the day was that they were families who were sitting by the lake, feeding the ducks and soaking up the Whitsunday way of life,” he said.
At the Regatta Waters estate, 26 of the first 49 blocks have been sold and eight houses are currently under construction.
“The project has resonated with people who live close by and want to stay in the area while upgrading their home and lifestyle,” Mr Marks said.
“At the current rate of progress, we’ll be welcoming our first residents in a matter of months,” he said.
