Airlie goes to Vegas for a night
MORE than 150 local residents attended the Las Vegas themed Ray White Whitsunday Gala Ball at Capers on Saturday night – and raised more than $5000 for the Whitsunday Sportspark.
Casino dealers from Brisbane travelled to Airlie Beach to take part in the event and most attendees were happy by the end of the night that the money was fake.
Ray White Whitsunday Prinicpal Mark Beale described the event as a success and said he had alrea- dy had enquiries about next year’s ball.
“It was a huge hit, everybody had a great time and everyone is already asking for tickets for next year,” he said.
More than 20 prizes were up for grabs with Bill Sharpe buying the biggest prize of the night - one night’s accomodation at Qualia Resort on Hamilton Island.
The after party was held at Fish D’vine: Fish Cafe and Rum Bar with up to 100 of the guests attending.
