A MAN who was brought to Monday’s sitting of the Proserpine Magistrate’s Court in police custody, will remain behind bars until his next court date on July 7.

Christopher James Duval has been charged with possessing dangerous drugs and property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence. He is also charged with contravening a police direction and possessing a knife in a public place.

Police have alleged that Duval was found with methylamphetamine in Moranbah on April 8, when his mobile phone was also checked.

Magistrate Haydn Stjernqvist said on June 18, Duval was found in possession of a knife on Tropic Road, Cannonvale. Police have also alleged he did not comply with a direction to provide his full and correct name and date of birth.

All four charges were adjourned to July 7, when Duval will appear in court via a telephone link from the prison.
