Ap­palling be­hav­iour

A 59-YEAR-OLD Proser­pine man was ar­rested and charged with pub­lic nui­sance af­ter he cre­ated a dis­tur­bance and threat­ened staff at the Proser­pine Hos­pi­tal at 7.30pm on Satur­day. Of­fi­cer in Charge of the Proser­pine Po­lice Sta­tion, Sergeant Nathan Blain, de­scribed the man’s be­hav­iour to­wards hos­pi­tal staff as “ap­palling”. Sgt Blain said no-one, re­gard­less of their oc­cu­pa­tion, de­served to be threat­ened or abused, and he re­minded lo­cal res­i­dents that “any such be­hav­iour is not, and will never be tol­er­ated”.
