Healthy fleet for twilight race
A FLEET of 23 yachts took part in last Wednesday’s Whitsunday Sailing Club (WSC) twilight sail, which was the last race for the month of July.
The best starts across the three divisions went to Quickskips (Peter Millar), Esoteric (Col Forster) and new-comer Oz (Chris Haskard).
In the final results, new boat for Division 1, Fantasia 2 (Andrew Stransky), once again took the line honours and corrected time wins. Fantasia II was ahead of Drumbeat (Brian Forrester), in second and Quickskips, in third place.
In Division 2, Bobby D (Ross Winterbourn), sailed a great race to win on corrected time, ahead of Queensland Marine Services (John Galloway) and Esoteric, in second and third.
In the largest division of the fleet, Serendip- ity (Roger Boast), took the win on corrected time, with Anthea (Dewi Hughes), in second place and Fargo (Keith McGuire), in third.
