Healthy fleet for twi­light race

A FLEET of 23 yachts took part in last Wed­nes­day’s Whit­sun­day Sail­ing Club (WSC) twi­light sail, which was the last race for the month of July.

The best starts across the three di­vi­sions went to Quick­skips (Peter Mil­lar), Es­o­teric (Col Forster) and new-comer Oz (Chris Haskard).

In the fi­nal re­sults, new boat for Divi­sion 1, Fan­ta­sia 2 (An­drew Stran­sky), once again took the line hon­ours and cor­rected time wins. Fan­ta­sia II was ahead of Drum­beat (Brian For­rester), in sec­ond and Quick­skips, in third place.

In Divi­sion 2, Bobby D (Ross Win­ter­bourn), sailed a great race to win on cor­rected time, ahead of Queens­land Ma­rine Ser­vices (John Gal­loway) and Es­o­teric, in sec­ond and third.

In the largest divi­sion of the fleet, Serendip- ity (Roger Boast), took the win on cor­rected time, with Anthea (Dewi Hughes), in sec­ond place and Fargo (Keith McGuire), in third.
