Monthly awards an­nounced for our swim­mers

THE Can­non­vale Can­nons Swim­ming Club has an­nounced its award win­ners for July.

Mikhalia Flint, Dy­lan Bar­beler and Kasey Ho­gan claimed ju­nior trainer awards while Piper O’Grady was awarded the sole se­nior trainer prize.

Alessan­dra Ro­manella and Jack­man Ro­manella won ju­nior en­cour­age­ment ti­tles and Sarah Milne was anointed the se­nior gong.

Emma Ho­gan won the best swim­ming book award to round out the month’s win­ners.

This week­end swim­mers are trav­el­ling to Townsville to con­test the Gar­dens Short Course Qual­i­fy­ing Car­ni­val.

“Hard work has gone into prepa­ra­tion for the up­com­ing events, in­clud­ing five plus swim ses­sions, two gym ses­sions and prac­ti­cal goal set­ting,” Can­non­vale Can­nons Swim­ming Club’s Dawn Ro­manella said.

Those suc­cess­ful in achiev­ing qual­i­fy­ing times will travel to Bris­bane later this month for the Queens­land State Short Course Cham­pi­onships.
