The 25th annual Airlie Beach Race Week starts on Friday. What do you think the event brings to town?

Whitsunday Times - - WHITSUNDAY VIEWS -

June Clark, Airlie Beach. My daughter owns a restaurant so I hope it brings good business to the restaurants in the area.

Leigh Van Santen, on a yacht. Lots of people, a lot more boats and it’s good promotion for the town.

Neil Juster, anchored off Airlie Beach. Well that’s what the Whitsundays are all about – the islands and boating scene.

Peter Swift, Cannonvale. Some fun and entertainment in the area.

Lenny Dawson, Cannonvale. It’s a wonderful thing; there should be more of them because they really bring the community together. I’d like to see the boat show make a return too.

Joe Norton, Hamilton Island. I’ve only been in the area for four months but I assume definitely an influx of people and increase of tourism. I hope to catch a few of the events if possible.

Alex Richardson, Airlie Beach. It brings money and entertainment. I’m keen to check it out.
