State of the GBR
THE news about half the Great Barrier Reef losing its coral is about four years old.
A peer reviewed study done by H.Sweatman, S. Delean and C. Syms shows that studies were done on dead, bleached, cyclone damaged and crown of thorns damaged reefs not given enough time to recover from natures ravages, while healthy reefs representing the biggest percentage of the reef were conveniently ignored.
Australia emits 1.4 per cent of the worlds CO2, but as long as we keep selling mega tonnes of coal overseas CO2 will be emitted for a considerable time, and what we do in our country won't reduce carbon at all.
The leaders of our largest nations and superpowers know that climate change is a big hoax but putting on a CO2 tax is easy money for governments and the UN to bring the whole world to a socialist system. None of the big nations ever sign the Kyoto agreement, while leaders like Barack Obama spruik on about the dangers of climate change. Ivan Ivanoff STRATHDICKIE
