Public nuisance charges
WHITSUNDAY Police charged four people with public nuisance offences on the weekend.
A 25-year-old Narangba man was arrested outside Magnums on Friday about 11.50pm and charged with public nuisance.
On Saturday, a 25-year-old Gracemere man was charged with disobeying a move on direction and wilful exposure after he was observed to take his clothes off before running into the lagoon.
On leaving the lagoon, the man performed handstands and push-ups before police chased and caught the offender. Also on Saturday, August 9, at 2.04am a male tourist was arrested for urinating in public on Shute Harbour Road.
Early on Sunday morning, at about 3.55am, a 23-year-old Proserpine man was arrested and issued with a public nuisance charge. The man was intercepted in the Airlie Beach main street.
