Pub­lic nui­sance charges

WHIT­SUN­DAY Po­lice charged four peo­ple with pub­lic nui­sance of­fences on the week­end.

A 25-year-old Narangba man was ar­rested out­side Mag­nums on Fri­day about 11.50pm and charged with pub­lic nui­sance.

On Satur­day, a 25-year-old Grace­mere man was charged with dis­obey­ing a move on di­rec­tion and wil­ful ex­po­sure af­ter he was ob­served to take his clothes off be­fore run­ning into the la­goon.

On leav­ing the la­goon, the man per­formed hand­stands and push-ups be­fore po­lice chased and caught the of­fender. Also on Satur­day, Au­gust 9, at 2.04am a male tourist was ar­rested for uri­nat­ing in pub­lic on Shute Har­bour Road.

Early on Sun­day morn­ing, at about 3.55am, a 23-year-old Proser­pine man was ar­rested and is­sued with a pub­lic nui­sance charge. The man was in­ter­cepted in the Air­lie Beach main street.
