ABOUT 400 people attended the mind, body and spirit expo at the Coral Sea Resort over two days on the weekend.

The event was organised by Kerry Aspland and Lisa Stewart who were very pleased with the success and have confirmed it will become an annual event.

Ms Aspland said exhibitors travelled from as far away as Sydney.

They provided psychic readings, crystal healing, massages, aura photography and acupuncture.

“It was great to see so many people try some things they have never tried before, like yoga,” Ms Aspland said. “It was great to be able to provide these opportunities to the public of Airlie Beach.”

Ms Aspland said she was surprised by the amount of young people who attended the event.

“There is a lot of curiosity about these types of things,” she said.

Ms Aspland said the funds raised had not been finalised but that generous donations would be made to Ecobarge Clean Seas and Fauna Rescue.

“It was a great community effort to raise funds for these great charities,” she said.

Ms Aspland thanks everyone who supported the event.
