Trivia night with a twist

FOR those who love trivia nights, one is be­ing or­gan­ised with a Whit­sun­day dif­fer­ence.

The Young at Hearts tourism net­work (YAH) with the sup­port of Whit­sun­days Mar­ket­ing and Devel­op­ment and Club Croc Ho­tel will hold a tourism in­dus­try trivia night on Thurs­day, Septem­ber 4 from 6pm.

The theme of the night will be ‘Ev­ery­thing Whit­sun­days’ and your knowl­edge of the Whit­sun­day re­gion and the lo­cal tourism in­dus­try will be tested.

YAH pres­i­dent Natas­sia Petro­lati said this trivia night was a way that busi­nesses in the re­gion could com­pete against each other and have a laugh along the way.

“YAH’s mis­sion is to put the fun back into the tourism in­dus­try and host unique net­work­ing events.

“It’s also a way we can help raise funds for a re­ally good cause. All pro­ceeds from the night will go to­wards pro­fes­sional devel­op­ment ac­tiv­i­ties for tourism pro­fes­sion­als.”

WMDL Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer Da­nial Rochford con­grat­u­lated YAH for or­gan­is­ing this event. “What a fun way to help all our tourism in­dus­try learn more about our re­gion, Mr Rochford said

“I would like to per­son­ally in­vite all busi­nesses in the re­gion to en­ter a team.

“I also put out the chal­lenge that you should watch out for the WMDL teams com­pet­i­tive streak on the night!”

The event will be set up for teams of 6-10, and the cost is $10 per per­son.

Al­co­hol will be avail­able at bar prices, and a full bar menu of­fered on the night.

Ma­jor prize to be awarded to the win­ning busi­ness/ team on the night.
