PD Law a finalist at national awards
A WHITSUNDAY law firm has been announced as a finalist in the National ALPMA/Telstra Thought Leadership Awards.
Property and Development Law (PD Law) is leading the way for regional law firms in embracing technology to deliver improved and streamlined client services via a mobile application and client portal, providing access to online documents and other important information.
The Australia Legal Practice Management Association Telstra Thought Leadership Awards shine a light on innovative projects and initiatives conducted by firms across the legal sector over the last 12 months in response to the changing legal landscape.
PD Law Chief Executive Officer Melinda Cox said the PD Law staff were now enjoying a fresh approach and more collaborative relationships with the clients.
“Clients are engaged from the moment the business starts work on their matter and are therefore gaining the benefit of a more informed process. Improved client engagement has had a positive impact on costs by reducing time spent and therefore in- creasing capacity,” Ms Cox said.
Clients involved in the roll out of the mobile application have been very enthusiastic and it has been extremely well received by those people working shifts who cannot always gain access to information during work hours.
“All critical information and dates are all stored in one place and can be downloaded, the mobile app makes it conve- nient and flexible as it is operational 24/7,” Ms Cox said.
This is the second year the awards have been held.
The winner of the award will be announced at the gala dinner at the 2014 ALPMA Summit in Melbourne next Thursday night, August 28, and the firm will be represented by CEO and Director Melinda Cox and staff member Melissa Wick.
