The club would also like to wish good luck to Dean Lovelock, who will contest the Champion of Champions singles in Sarina at the weekend.
Proserpine had the honour of hosting the Mackay District Champion of Champions Pairs this year – the first time in history.

Seaford took care of North Mackay 2816 and Souths Suburban knocked over Northern Beaches 21-18.
In the afternoon the Proserpine pair of Lois Read and Janet Mortimer were defeated by City 25-18, while Sarina beat Airlie Beach 22-17, St Helens proved too much for Seaforth 26-10 and Mackay bettered Souths Suburban 21-20.
Social play was down due to the weather; however one game of triples saw John Lahney, Flo O’Hanlon and Lillian Harris oust Fran Porter, Arthur Williams and Joy Jeffries 23-7. The ladies also catered for the Men’s Under 200s Carnival at the weekend.
The club would like to thank all involved for their efforts.
