Expression of interest called for airport cafe

Whitsunday Times - - LOCAL NEWS -

THE Whitsunday Regional Council is calling for expressions of interests prior to tendering for the supply of food and beverages at Whitsunday Coast Airport.

Whitsunday Regional Council Mayor Jennifer Whitney said this was a great chance for food and beverage providers both locally and nationally to submit an expression of interest [EOI] explaining how they could provide an outstanding service for the airport.

“Expressions of interest are sought from suitably qualified and experienced commercial operators to tender for the lease of Café Whiskey Charlie at the Whitsunday Coast Airport,” she said.

“It is envisaged that a large number of interested parties will submit to the EOI, due to the recent redevelopment of the airport terminal, proposed Priority Development Area (PDA) for the airport precinct and the introduction of a new airline partnership (Tiger Air) boosting passenger numbers into the region,” Mayor Whitney said.
