Small fleet for twi­light races

A SMALLER fleet of 12 yachts took part in the first twi­light race since Vi­sion Sur­veys Air­lie Beach Race Week last Wed­nes­day.

With 12 knots of wind, both di­vi­sion two and three had an equal num­ber of boats in the fleet.

Queens­land Ma­rine Ser­vices, John Gal­loway, took the best start in di­vi­sion two while Mas­quer­ade, Tom Vu­jasi­novic, won the di­vi­sion three start.

Tulip, Bernie van’t Hof, took the line hon­ours win in di­vi­sion three, how­ever it was Sand­piper, Chris Chen­gody who won on cor­rected time.

He was fol­lowed by Queens­land Ma­rine Ser­vices and Trea­sure 8, Rob Davis, who took third.

New boat Home, Tom Had­field, raced in di­vi­sion three which was won by Riff Raff, Dan White, on cor­rected time.

Anthea, Dewi Hughes, came in sec­ond place and was fol­lowed by Serendip­ity, Roger Boast, in third.
