Small fleet for twilight races
A SMALLER fleet of 12 yachts took part in the first twilight race since Vision Surveys Airlie Beach Race Week last Wednesday.
With 12 knots of wind, both division two and three had an equal number of boats in the fleet.
Queensland Marine Services, John Galloway, took the best start in division two while Masquerade, Tom Vujasinovic, won the division three start.
Tulip, Bernie van’t Hof, took the line honours win in division three, however it was Sandpiper, Chris Chengody who won on corrected time.
He was followed by Queensland Marine Services and Treasure 8, Rob Davis, who took third.
New boat Home, Tom Hadfield, raced in division three which was won by Riff Raff, Dan White, on corrected time.
Anthea, Dewi Hughes, came in second place and was followed by Serendipity, Roger Boast, in third.
